What is The Bow Tie Guy?

How do you keep prices so low?
We buy straight from the manufacturer and sell directly to you, cutting out the middleman. That keeps our costs down, which keeps your prices down.
Is my personal information secure?
Yes. Our site is SSL-encrypted, and checkout is handled securely, so your details are protected end to end.
Our Bow Ties
Are your bow ties high quality?
Yes. Every manufacturer is vetted through a 6–8 month process, and our ties are built with premium fabrics and our LUXEFLEX™ interlining. See how they're made →
What are they made of?
Premium silk or cotton, with more materials on the way.
Are they thin or thick?
Thick. We use extra material and a 3-layer interlining, which gives a strong, full knot that holds all day — and ties that last longer.
Self-tie or pre-tied?
About 90% of our ties are self-tie. We also carry classic black and white pre-tied options for last-minute occasions.
Are they stain resistant?
Our silk ties are stain resistant; our cotton ties are not — so save the hot sauce for after you take it off.
What size necks do they fit?
Our bow ties are a standard 2.5" in height and adjust to fit necks from 14.5" to 20". See the Size Guide for details.

Shipping
How much is shipping?
Standard shipping is free within the United States on orders of $40 or more. International shipping is a $15 flat rate (we only cover costs). Expedited 2-Day shipping is available at checkout.
How soon will I get my order?
Orders are typically processed the next business day. Standard U.S. orders ship USPS First Class (about 2–3 business days in transit) with tracking. Expedited 2-Day is available within the continental U.S.
Can I change my shipping address after ordering?
There's a short window before an order begins processing. Email support@bethebowtieguy.com right away with "Change address" in the subject and we'll do our best.
Returns
What is your return policy?
We accept returns of unworn items in their original condition and packaging within 30 days of purchase for a full refund or exchange (customer covers return postage; shipping charges aren't refundable). There is no restocking fee. Email support@bethebowtieguy.com to start a return.
Subscription
How does the subscription work?
Each month we pick one of our best-selling bow ties and ship it to you with free shipping. Your first order arrives roughly 3–5 business days after signing up. Learn more →
Can I return a subscription tie I don't love?
Absolutely — the same 30-day return terms apply.
How do I cancel or skip?
Email support@bethebowtieguy.com and we'll take care of it. You can also skip a shipment up to 3 days before it ships.
